Limbal Relaxing Incisions

Limbal Relaxing Incisions (LRI) is a procedure used to help patients with astigmatism see at distances. The procedure entails partial thickness incisions made at the outer, non-seeing corner of the eye, the limbus, that cause the steepest part of the cornea’s curvature to relax and be more evenly round. The result can be reduced or completely eliminated need for glasses in patients with astigmatism.
